Erik Kolar is an Associate, focused primarily on Opportunistic/Alternative investments.

Experience
Prior to joining SIH, Erik was an Associate in the originations group at Starwood Capital Group in New York where he worked for 5 years in real estate credit, supporting the origination and execution of over $2 billion of transaction volume across office, industrial, multifamily, retail, and hospitality sectors nationwide. At Starwood, Erik underwrote investments on behalf of the firm’s publicly traded mortgage REIT (NYSE: STWD) and private debt funds, with responsibilities spanning financial modeling, due diligence, investment committee memoranda, and loan closing.

Education
Erik received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate from Villanova University and a Master of Science in Real Estate with a concentration in Finance and Investment from New York University.
